Let’s explore family medicine! Whether you are a student considering your specialty or a resident preparing for practice, this conference will provide you with useful and practical tools to guide you through your next steps. Years of planning and education have brought you to where you are today as you transition to practice as a Missouri family physician. Missouri family physicians will share their knowledge about what they wish they knew when they began this new phase of their careers.
Every participant will leave the conference armed with ideas that will prepare them as they start practicing as a Missouri family physician. Participants will experience a welcoming environment to exchange information and ideas with fellow residents, students, and physicians during this interactive conference.
You will learn about:
- Leadership skills essential to excellent performance
- Valuable peer and family medicine expert connections and resources
- Strategies for applying to a family medicine residency program
- Contract negotiations to protect newly employed family physicians
- Financial strategies to pay off student loans
- Procedures workshop
