Let’s explore family medicine! Whether you are a student considering your specialty or a resident preparing for practice, this conference will provide you with useful and practical tools to guide you through your next steps. Years of planning and education have brought you to where you are today as you transition to practice as a Missouri family physician. Missouri family physicians will share their knowledge about what they wish they knew when they began this new phase of their careers.
Purpose
Every participant will leave the conference armed with ideas that will prepare them as they start practicing as a Missouri family physician. Participants will experience a welcoming environment to exchange information and ideas with fellow residents, students, and physicians during this interactive conference.

All Missouri family medicine residents and medical students interested in family medicine are invited to attend at no cost. You must be an MAFP member (Sign up by clicking either Student or Resident). Lodging (based on double occupancy) and meals are included.
Registration is supported by the Family Health Foundation of Missouri. One night’s lodging will be provided based on double occupancy.

An invitation for Missouri family medicine residency programs and recruiters.
Join family medicine residency programs and recruiters during an informal meeting to discuss recruitment opportunities with residents and students. This one-hour event will be just the right amount of time for you to meet with Missouri’s finest family medicine residents and students. Sponsorships are also available.
Poster Contest
Enhance your scholarly activities by participating in the MAFP Poster Contest. Judging will occur during the Transition to Practice conference and winners will be announced during the Missouri Mingle reception.
