Events and Opportunites for MAFP Members
The Missouri Academy strives to keep members abreast of changes in healthcare. These programs/offerings provide physicians the opportunity to earn the required CME while also becoming engaged in their state-wide professional association. Evidence-Based CME is offered to maximize the program quality and credits earned.
Regional Family Medicine Mixers
All members are invited to join us for MAFP’s Regional Family Medicine Mixers! These gatherings provide a chance to get out and have fun while connecting and networking with fellow family physicians in your community. Whether you’re within the region or beyond, you’re welcome to attend any of these events.
Members, prospective members, and children under 13 years old can attend at no cost. Guests are invited to attend for a $50 fee. Learn more.
2024 Regional Meeting Schedule:
- June 21st at 6:00 pm – Springfield: Swing into summer at BigShots Golf in Springfield! Buffet dinner and golf included. Event Sponsored by CoxHealth.
- July 31st at 6:00 pm – Kansas City: Embark on a journey at the Kansas City Zoo! Food and beverages will be provided.
- August 20th at 6:30 pm – St. Louis: Trek through adventure at the St. Louis Zoo! Before the hike, we’ll gather for light snacks at a central location outside the zoo.
- September 10th at 6:00 pm – Jefferson City: Sip and savor at Canterbury Hill Winery in Central Missouri! Enjoy a dinner on the patio overlooking the Missouri State Capitol.

We are offering virtual CME on a variety of topics. Sessions will be held monthly through October 2024 from 6:30-7:30 pm via Zoom. Learn more
Transition to Practice Conference for Residents and Students
June 21-22, 2024 | The Oasis Hotel in Springfield
This conference is all about learning, networking, and relaxing! Family medicine residents and medical students interested in family medicine will learn practical tools to use as they begin residency or their careers after residency. Every participant will leave the conference armed with resources, ideas, and best practices to become a Missouri family physician. Learn more.
32nd Annual Fall Conference
November 8-9, 2024 | Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City
This meeting, held in November, is the largest Missouri Academy gathering of primary care physicians and exhibitors in a more relaxed and informal atmosphere for learning. An exhibit area features companies offering pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products and services for the medical community. Learn more
